   Frequently asked questions
Technical question
- How do you calibrate the ultrasound maniple?
The ultrasound maniple no longer needs to be calibrated, as the frequency is transferred into the memory of the unit, to which the maniple is then connected, by means of a smart card.

- What is the Interlock for?
This guarantees the safety of the user as it allows him / her to halt laser emission should a “non-authorised person” enter the room.

- What forms of protection is it necessary to use when operating the laser?

In addition to the special laser glasses that should be worn, the unit features an electronic protection device that halts laser emission should the galvanometer break.

- What is the Up-dating Kit for? How do you use it?
The Up-dating Kit allows units to be up-dated with the very latest programmes available for download by means of a fast PC connection.

- How do you control the power emitted by the unit (in general)?
In terms of Laser units you should use an instrument that measures the emission of each laser, while in term of Ultrasound units you should use a balance that regulates the impulse.

- Is it possible to connect an Electromed (electrotherapy) unit to a Medison (ultrasound) unit?
Yes. This can be done by using a special cable to connect the two units and to effectively make them into one single unit.

- The radar emits an annoying sound, why?
This means that the Mosfet is damaged and requires replacing.

- The laser maniple does not emit as it should, what is the reason?
This generally means that the cable is damaged or broken.

- A leg or arm sleeve of the Pressomed unit does not inflate, what has happened?
The most probable explanation is that one of the inflatable sections inside the leg / arm sleeve is perforated, preventing it from inflating and causing it to block.
